Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or equivalency. Experience showing strong customer service skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills, are required

Essential Job Functions
The Veteran Affairs (VA) Educational Benefit Processor role is an important role to the Office of Student Financial Aid and University Scholarships. This role helps ensure that federal paperwork related to military-affiliated students is processed in a timely manner.
- Assist students who are eligible for education benefits in applying through the Department of Veteran Affairs
- Assist with monitoring use by Post-9/11 GI Bill students and be able to differentiate between tuition/fee payments to properly certify to VA
- Support the Student Accounts Department to identify students who are eligible for VA education benefits.
- Apprise supervisors of any internal problems which may affect service to VA students.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Maintain an inclusive environment that welcomes students and staff.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer the ability to work well and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working with VA paperwork is preferred.
Knowledge of SCO reporting procedures and standards is preferred.
Experience with automated financial aid delivery systems (Banner/FAMS/SCT) is desirable, as is familiarity with report writing tools, such as BRIO, PL/SQL, or Web Focus.
Work Schedule/Hours: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
