Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Business, Finance & Banking, or a closely related field.
- At least 15 years of relevant professional experience in Finance & Banking or a closely related field.
Areas of Interest (No Minimum Level Required)
- The department is especially interested in candidates with professional experience and teaching interest in one or more of the following areas – Corporate Finance, Financial Planning, Commercial Banking, Investments, Investment Banking.

Description of the Department or Unit
The Department of Finance, Banking and Insurance includes 21 full-time finance, insurance, and law faculty serving approximately 350 undergraduate majors. The department also provides classes for the MBA and other graduate programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This position will primarily serve Appalachian State’s new campus in Hickory, NC.
Teach four (4) finance & banking classes per semester and serve on department, college, and university committees. Primary teaching duties will be in-person classes in Hickory.
Teaching duties may include online courses or in-person courses in Boone, NC.
