Required Qualifications - Ph.D., Doctorate, or ABD (with Ph.D. or Doctorate by January 2024) in Social Work or directly related field with a Master's in Social Work (MSW) from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program (Degree must be from a regionally accredited or internationally accredited/government certified university.)
- Minimum of two years full-time post-MSW social work direct practice experience
- Experience and/or knowledge in teaching at the college/university level as a graduate assistant, instructor, or above
- Ability to teach across the undergraduate social work curriculum
- Demonstrated ability to engage in research with potential for external funding
- Demonstrated commitment to work with students, staff, and community (e.g. student advising, involvement in organizations, training, board membership, or other leadership roles on campus or in the community)
- Commitment to and evidence of collegiality when interacting with others within the university community

Strategic Action Plan Department Information: The Department of Criminal Justice, Social Work, and Sociology has 14 full-time faculty and approximately 350 undergraduate and 20 graduate students in a growing online program. The department is pleased to serve first-generation and diverse students from urban and rural locations. Students are involved in organizations such as Alpha Phi Sigma, Criminal Justice Association, Phi Alpha Honor Society and Student Social Work Organization. Course modalities range from traditional face-to-face classes to online and Zoom-based courses at our regional campuses. Degree programs range from in-person to online, with fully online criminal justice undergraduate and graduate programs. The social work program is CSWE (Council on Social Work Education) accredited with a robust dedication to serving the rural environment.
