Vice President of Admissions

Reporting to the Provost and working closely with the President, the Vice President of Admissions occupies a pivotal role at the helm of the college's enrollment strategies. The Vice President (VP) leads the admissions department, overseeing the undergraduate and graduate departments, and collaborates closely with the institutional Office of Financial Aid and Marketing. This role will provide leadership focused on strategy and planning related to creating a holistic experience for all students, from the application for admission through enrollment and the overall student journey. As a member of the Senior Team (the President's cabinet), the VP will integrate into a diverse, collegial, and collaborative group of leaders. The VP is expected to assume a prominent role in developing and implementing innovative strategies that encompass recruitment, admission, and the retention of incoming domestic, international, and transfer students. This endeavor will involve collaboration with various programs and offices, including, but not limited to, academic programs, enrollment management, academic affairs, finance, student affairs and services, marketing and communications, and institutional advancement. The VP must proficiently communicate and foster the goals and success of admissions. By engaging the Otis community broadly, the VP ensures that strategies and objectives are developed with a focus on the college's mission, financial health, and strategic plan. This role will lead a team at the college responsible for achieving enrollment and net tuition revenue goals while incorporating other institutional priorities. The VP should embody confidence, openness to change, innovative/systematic thinking, and strategic planning to achieve the role’s objective.
