The Department of Health Management and Policy in the College of Public Health at the University of Iowa invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. We seek candidates with expertise in Health Economics, Health Organization and Behavior, Health Policy or Health Services Research. Strong consideration will be given to candidates at the level of Associate or Full Professor.
The successful candidate must provide evidence of peer reviewed publications and research productivity commensurate with years of professional experience. Candidates must be able to demonstrate an ability to offer instruction and mentorship within departmental degree programs. Candidates seeking position at rank of Associate or Professor must demonstrate evidence of extramural funding and the ability to mentor junior faculty. Candidates seeking position at the rank of Assistant must show promise of obtaining extramural funding.
Candidates must possess a doctoral degree in economics, political science, public administration, public health, public policy, health administration and management, health policy, health services research, sociology, or related field. The candidate should be able to engage in multi-disciplinary collaboration between academic departments across the university and with public health agencies and non-government, non-profit foundations and organizations. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to promoting a diverse academic environment.
