The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford is seeking a dynamic, student-centered leader who is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, dedicated to support the whole student, and increase student’s global awareness through student government and leadership development as the Director of Student Engagement and Assessment.
Duties: Provide leadership and direction using an equity lens to advance the university’s goals of student success and retention through co-curricular experiential education. This professional position is responsible for applying knowledge of student development theory and best practices in developing strategies and mechanisms to monitor and enhance student engagement outside the classroom, assessing and analyzing involvement in relation to student satisfaction and student success, and initiating recommendations for creating more effective student involvement. The director also is responsible for coordinating the Student Affairs division’s outside-the-classroom curriculum and must work collaboratively with Student Affairs staff, student organizations, faculty and administrators to effectively administer a co-curricular program.
Requirements: Master’s degree in student affairs in higher education; three to five years’ experience developing and enhancing a co-curricular student involvement strategy. Initiative, creativity and strong organizational skills to provide innovative and engaging student programs. Knowledge and effective use of current and emerging technologies to support and enhance student engagement. Strong analytical skills, ability to effectively use data to promote student success, and excellent group dynamics skills.
