Job Description

Located in the beautiful historic lakefront village of Cazenovia, a short drive from Syracuse, NY, the College invites qualified individuals to submit applications for a tenure-track appointment in the Criminal Justice and Homeland Security Studies Program beginning in the Fall 2020-2021 academic year.

Our faculty are dedicated to teaching and fostering student growth and creativity through a supportive, personalized learning environment.

The College is opening a new, state-of-the-art Crime Scene and Interview Lab in May 2020 which will enhance the experiences of students and faculty.
 

Responsibilities: 

The primary focus of this position is teaching, and the successful candidate will (i) teach a broad portfolio of upper-level and lower-level courses, including, Criminology, Research Methods, Senior Capstone, Juvenile Delinquency, and Introduction to Criminal Justice Studies, and (ii) assist in the on-going assessment and refinement of the curriculum including the creation of new courses such as Race and Crime. Additional faculty responsibilities include student advisement, service to the college, and professional development.

Preferred and Required Qualifications

The successful candidate will have earned a doctorate in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline by the time of appointment. Teaching experience and promise for scholarly productivity preferred.
