Position Status: Part-Time
Lane Library. The Library Technical Assistant-PT works under the supervision of the Head of Reference at Lane Library; provides basic reference services and assistance to Georgia Southern University students and faculty at the Liberty Center in Hinesville and members of the local communities; interacts with library patrons in person and by telephone, email, or instant messaging. This 19-hour per week position is located at the Hinesville Branch of the Live Oak Public Library System, located near the Liberty Center.

Minimum Education Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Could a level of job-related experience higher than the minimum required for the position substitute for the minimum level of education?: No
Minimum Experience Required:
Three or more years of related work experience; experience using library resources, to include reference online and print materials, electronic databases and library systems; customer service experience
Could a level of education higher than the minimum required for the position substitute for the minimum level of job-related experience?: No
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; legally authorized to work in the United States; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment
Prior experience working in a library setting
Salary Range: $13,348 - $15,000
