Position Status: Full-Time

Position Summary:
Counseling Center. The Staff Psychologist provides direct clinical services to students, outreach programming and professional training to the Georgia Southern community on a variety of mental health issues, clinical training, and supervision to counseling center trainees, and consultations to faculty and staff regarding college student mental health.

Essential Functions
Provides individual, couples, and group therapy to Georgia Southern students.
Provides crisis on-call service in rotation with other clinical staff.
Provides crisis/triage assessment and response to students.
Participates in various training programs housed within the Counseling Center.
Provides clinical supervision to practicum students and Doctoral Interns.
Provides outreach programming and consultations to campus community.
Maintains all relevant ethical, legal, and professional standards of practice for Psychologists in the State of Georgia.
Coordinates one or more areas of Counseling Center services as requested by Executive Director.
Maintains compliance with Counseling Center policies and procedures.

Minimum Education Required:
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology; Licensure as a Psychologist in Georgia or the ability to obtain licensure within two years of start date.

Minimum Experience Required:
One year of related work experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; legally authorized to work in the United States; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.

Preferred Education:


Preferred Experience::
Experience working in a University Counseling Center; experience providing clinical supervision; experience with public speaking; experience with crisis intervention.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
