Type of Assignment: Administrator/Executive

Academic administrators are normally covered under the California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS).
One regular, full-time position, 40 hours per week, 12 months per year on the Oceanside campus. The work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. The person selected for this position will be subject to assignment to any district facility during any hours of operation.
Under general direction plan, organize, and direct day-to-day operations of strategic student success programs and services. The dean will provide support, coordination, and leadership for guided pathways, schedule development, dual enrollment, strategic enrollment management, and other initiatives in support of student success and equity frameworks. Facilitate robust programming and pathway development for students as well as high school students participating in dual enrollment. Develop strategies in partnership with noncredit administrators and faculty to strengthen curriculum alignment and pathways between credit and noncredit
Education & Experience:
To be eligible for this position, you must meet and provide evidence of the following minimum qualifications:
1. Possession of a master’s degree in a field of study relevant to this assignment from an accredited college or university (a postsecondary institution accredited by an accreditation agency recognized by either the U.S. Department of Education or the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation); AND
2. At least one year of formal training, internship, or leadership experience relevant to this assignment; AND
3. Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the cultural, developmental, socioeconomic, ethnic, disability, and academic diversity of community college students, faculty, and staff.
