Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree, five years of progressively responsible work experience in education or an equivalent combination of training and experience, and supervisory experience. Successful results of a criminal background check are required. Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer previous registrar experience in a post-secondary setting; supervisory and leadership experience; demonstrated experience in staff cross-training and staff development; proven experience with establishing and streamlining academic policies to a records database; and knowledge of federal, state, and institutional rules and laws regarding student records. Duties: The Registrar position is a full-time professional/managerial position. The Registrar will provide leadership to plan, organize, and manage all activities related to the Office of Records, including serving as the official authorized keeper of the College�s student records. The Registrar is responsible for the interpretation and implementation of state rules and regulations that apply to the functions of registration and records of the College. This position works closely with the Director of Admissions to organize and administer the admissions, records, and graduation functions in order to provide maximum services to students while ensuring efficient and effective workflow. Additionally, the Registrar serves as a contributing member of the Student Affairs Leadership Team, serves on various councils and committees, and collaborates with administrators, faculty, and Management Information Systems staff to facilitate and improve services to students. The Registrar will collect, record, maintain, and report student records within FERPA guidelines, e.g., grades, registration data, transcripts, athletic eligibility, graduation certifications, and audits. This position reports to the Dean of Student Affairs.
Salary: $42,230.00 - $60,000.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable.)
