Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with an associate’s degree or graduation from high school or GED equivalency and two years of experience in a collegiate student services office setting required. Exceptional customer service skills are required. Successful results of a criminal background check are required. Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer experience in postsecondary education related to the review and processing of college applications, keen attention to detail, ability to utilize various technologies, knowledge of college admissions and records policies including Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), residency, and current state statutes. Duties: The Records Specialist position is a full-time 12-month career service position. The Records Specialist will perform a variety of specialized departmental functions in a timely and professional manner. The duties of this position include, analyzing and verifying the accuracy of all student application information prior to final processing, correcting and updating student information and enrollment data, tracking the receipt of accurate information to finalize incomplete applications, and processing requests for various records in accordance with FERPA and college policies. Additional functions of this position include grade reconciliations, transient processing, section scheduling, addressing registration issues, and articulation of credit. The Records Specialist must exhibit critical thinking to accurately review, correct, update and maintain all student records. This position requires availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends during peak registration periods. This position reports to the Registrar.
Salary: $24,150.00 ($12.34/hour) -
