Position Description:

The Regulatory Biology Laboratory of Assistant Professor Dannielle Engle, PhD is seeking an experienced and motivated research assistant to be a part of a multi-disciplinary team working to identify novel therapeutic strategies and diagnostic indicators for pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer. The successful candidate will perform tasks to support organoid and mouse model studies. In addition, the candidate will help maintain our animal colony, perform animal therapeutic studies, provide tissue culture support, and help with the daily operation of the lab.


Education:

Required:

  • Bachelors of Science in a related field or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

Required:

  • 1-2 years of experience as a lab technician or equivalent related combination of education and experience. Experience with general lab maintenance, including supply inventory, and maintenance of a sterile environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with mouse dosing routes (PO, IV, SC, IP) and health monitoring, data analysis and entry using Graphpad Prism and Google Drive.

Special Requirements:
  • Must be willing to work in an animal-related research environment.
  • Must be willing to complete occasional duties on weekends and holidays, and to work an adjusted schedule to support research needs.
  • Must pass background investigation.
  • Must be willing to sign confidentiality agreement.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires constant adjusting focus, seeing, touching, feeling, reasoning and working inside.
