Job Description

Veterinarian with advanced training in medical oncology.

Preferred and Required Qualifications

Completion of a residency program in companion animal medical oncology approved by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine or the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine by the date of employment is required; board certification is preferred. Clinical experience and competence in veterinary medical oncology is required. Demonstrated aptitude/experience in teaching is required. For the Assistant Professor of Clinical Oncology position, a documented record of creative scholarship or the potential to develop a clinical research program in oncology is required. Must possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with others in a collegial team atmosphere.

A valid license to practice veterinary medicine in California is required before employment (California Business and Professions Code Section 4846-4857).  Individuals not eligible for a full California license must obtain a University License (California Business and Professions Code Section 4848.1) by the time of appointment.
