Job Information
The Division of Gastroenterology at Augusta University excels in treating complex and challenging problems, teaching state-of-the-art medicine, and researching the gastrointestinal tract, including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, pancreas, liver and bile ducts. Our Division is continuing to grow a comprehensive multidisciplinary care and we are dedicated to providing outstanding training for physicians specializing in Gastroenterology. Our team of skilled and experienced physicians includes nationally and internationally recognized experts who offer the only multidisciplinary gastroenterology care in Georgia and surrounding states. These caring professionals deliver the most comprehensive specialty and subspecialty gastrointestinal, endoscopic, hepatology and nutritional services in the area.
This position is needed in to increase and expand outreach activities and clinical volume to maximize our potential growth of the Digestive Health Center. Primary duties will include clinics, outreach, satellite clinics, endoscopy procedures, clinical lectures, teaching and education, and other misc. duties that may be assigned for limited coverage as needed. This position plays a critical role with meeting the clinical demands and associated clinical volume expansion. This position also plays a critical role with meeting the educational needs of the section. It will provide 80-90% effort of direct patient care, 10-15% effort educational activities for candidates without active grants.
Minimum Requirements
MD and Gastroenterology Board Certified.
