Associate/Assistant Professor - Institute of Public & Preventive Health The Institute of Public and Preventive Health (IPPH) at Augusta University seeks two outstanding Associate or Assistant Professor(s) interested in developing an academic career within a growing, dynamic research institute. These are full time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, tenure track positions. In addition to a faculty appointment with the Institute of Public and Preventive Health, the selected candidate will have a faculty appointment, commensurate with experience, within an academic department in one of Augusta University's nine colleges and schools. Primary Focus Areas Successful candidates will be pursuing a vigorous, extramurally-funded research program in areas of research that complement the Institute's and University's existing strengths including:

Applicants must have earned a Doctoral degree in Public Health, Health Policy, Health Services Research, Health Economics, Social Science or a related public health discipline. The applicant should have a successful track record of peer-reviewed publications, and a history of extramural funding (or, for junior faculty, demonstrate the potential to become an independent extramurally funded investigator). In addition, the applicant must show evidence of potential for effective teaching.
Academic rank, tenure status and salary to be commensurate with qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.

The mission of the IPPH is to improve health, reduce health disparities, and prevent injury and illness in Georgia through research, service, leadership, and training. Founded in 2012, IPPH currently has 10 primary faculty, 13 affiliated faculty, and 14 research and administrative grant support staff. Extramural funding exceeds $9 million per year. IPPH is home to the Center for Rural Health, the Center for Bioethics and Health Policy (CBHP), and is the state office for Georgia's Area Health Education Center (AHEC).
