The 154-bed Children's Hospital of Georgia is the area's only children's hospital, dedicated to serving the health care needs of children, from newborns to teenagers. Our teams of more than 80 pediatric specialists use their expertise and training to treat everything from common childhood illnesses to life-threatening conditions. It has the region's only Pediatric Emergency Department, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, with air and ground transport, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The Children's Hospital of Georgia is part of the Augusta University Health System which includes a 478-bed medical center, a Medical Office Building with more than 80 outpatient practice sites in one convenient setting, and a Critical Care Center housing a 13-county regional trauma center. The Augusta University main campus is in Augusta, Georgia's second largest city. The city was recently ranked the second most favorable place to live in the State of Georgia. It is a growing and thriving city with a metropolitan-area population of around 400,000. - Board certified in Congenital Heart Surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years of experience is required
- Independence with STAT I and II index surgical cases
- Independence with overall critical care patient management
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia.
