Regular/Temporary: *Job Summary Job ID: 251391Position # 4004909 The Department of Radiology and Imaging at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) at Augusta University. Georgia's premier Health Sciences University is recruiting a full-time Abdominal Radiologist. This is a great opportunity to join a department in the midst of expansion. Including growing our Georgia Cancer Center and breaking ground on our 2nd hospital site (in Columbia County). The successful candidate will have an interest in teaching medical students as well as radiology residents. The position offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits package, including significant dependent college and graduate school tuition supplements. Academic rank is commensurate with training and experience.
Responsibilities Responsibilities will include clinical service and teaching, with opportunities for clinical research as well, in a busy tertiary and quaternary care center with ACGME accredited residency programs. Academic time is provided and new research projects are encouraged.
Required Qualifications MD/DO.
AND Board Certification or Eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications Fellowship training in Abdominal/Body Radiology.

College/Department Information The Medical College of Georgia is one of the nation's largest medical schools by class size, with 260 students per class. The educational experience is anchored by the main campus in Augusta, regional clinical campuses for third- and fourth-year students across the state and a second four-year campus in Athens in partnership with the University of Georgia. MCG's expanding partnerships with physicians and hospitals across Georgia currently provides about 350 sites where students can experience the full spectrum of medicine, from complex care hospitals to small-town solo practices. MCG and its teaching hospitals also provide postgraduate education to more than 500 residents and fellows in 50 different Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-approved programs. Our researchers and clinicians focus on what most impacts the health of Georgia's and America's children and adults, including cardiovascular biology and disease, cancer, neurosciences and behavioral sciences, public and preventive health, regenerative and reparative medicine, personalized medicine, and genomics. Our physician faculty also share their expertise with physicians and patients at about 100 clinics and hospitals statewide. The main campus department is equipped with 2 3D Hologic systems, 2 Phillips Alllura Xper FD20 IR rooms, Digital C arm, three CT scanners (256 and 128), three MRI scanners (3T and 1.5 T), Nuclear-Medicine, PET/CT, X-ray, Ultrasound and routine X-ray equipment. We also have a freestanding outpatient imaging center which includes 2 MRI scanners, a 3D Hologic system, 1 CT scanner, DEXA, US and routine X-ray equipment.
