In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Job Summary
The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, Western University of Health Sciences, has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral fellow position ($58,240 starting salary with fringe benefits). This is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting, AHA-funded research team investigating underlying mechanisms that regulate resistance-sized artery contractility, and the impact of reduced water intake on their function. The successful applicant will also be provided the opportunity and support to pursue their own postdoctoral funding, gaining experience in constructing grant applications. We are seeking a creative and hardworking scientist to pursue collaborative research within the laboratory of Simon Bulley, Ph.D.

Required Qualifications
1. EDUCATION: PhD or Pharm.D. degree required must be licensed in California (or attain license in during fellowship, the timeline is described in the residency / fellowship handbook).
2. EXPERIENCE: Desirable but not essential.
