GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Director of Financial Services supervises Accounts Payable, Payroll Reporting, Grant Reporting, and Student Accounts Receivables. The Director assists in budget development and on-going budget reviews, monitors the general ledger, prepares board financial reports and other reports as requested, reviews and makes recommendations on the College's investment portfolio, and is the lead on the annual audit. This position receives general supervision from the Vice President, Finance & Administration and exercises supervision over support and professional staff. NOTE: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Education: Master's Degree with major course work in accounting, business administration, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university. Current CPA license.
Experience: Three or more years of increasingly responsible experience in financial services, including three years of administrative and/or supervisory responsibility.

(8) Organizational and planning skills, attention to detail. (9) Strong written and oral communication skills. (10) Strong work ethic and leadership skills. Ability to: (11) Manage multiple projects while prioritizing project urgency and meeting project deadlines. (12) Analyze detailed financial information to identify trends, find errors, and to prepare accurate, efficient and high quality reports and documents. (13) Work within the organizational strategies and to collaborate with senior leadership to develop budget goals and long-range planning.

Working Conditions

Desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Insignificant effort other than normal movement. Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.
