GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION: Plan, coordinate, instruct, and evaluate the delivery of continuing education health care/nurse aide programs, under the direction of the Coordinator of Health & Human Services, for the purpose of certification, upgrading skills, or re-certification. Major emphasis is one the CNA program(s), including community collaboration, planning, scheduling, and course delivery of training programs. Administrative functions include documentation for local, state, and federal agencies, and oversight of the MCC/CNA Regional Testing Center. This position receives general supervision from the Coordinator, Health & Human Services and exercises no supervision.
NOTE: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Education: Vocational Nursing certification with a current Texas Board of Nurses License.
Experience: More than one year of employment experience in a long-term care setting.
Education: Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.

(5) Prepare and coordinate schedules and reports (6) Perform/teach basic nursing principles/skills. (7) Organize, schedule, and train instructors. (8) Promote courses to the community and individuals. (9) Develop curriculum, lesson plans, tests, and other needed materials. Ability to: (10) Interact with various/diverse groups to accomplish the necessary daily activities of the department. (11) Utilize office equipment, including computers and computer programs (ie: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, the internet and databases.) (12) Communicate clearly and concisely.
Desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Insignificant effort other than normal movement. Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.
