Adler University is seeking qualified candidates to fill the Program Director position for the M.A. Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program in the Department of Counseling and Integrated Programs. Position will start in spring 2020.
Administrative Duties include monitoring the quality of the program and student experiences, overseeing faculty, managing the operation of the CMHC program including both on-ground and online modalities, and maintaining accreditation and related processes. Other responsibilities include: teaching, advising students, support of institutional and departmental committees and initiatives, as well as recruitment and admission efforts. Candidates must be willing to align with the University’s mission and values which is training socially responsible practitioners, engaging communities, and advancing social justice.
Candidates are required to have a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program, experienced in leading and teaching in a CARECP accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, and in the writing of a self-study and the accreditation process. The candidate must be eligible for Illinois counselor licensure. Candidates are also expected to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and professional staff.
