Pulmonary/Critical Care Specialist for MICU UAB Huntsville Regional Medical Campus and Huntsville Hospital
The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine Huntsville Regional Medical Campus (HRMC) invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure earning Assistant/Associate Professor position in the Huntsville Internal Medicine Department. This position is charged with performing clinical work and education in the ICU setting with the option for outpatient clinics. The Internal Medicine Department provides clinical training for 3rd and 4th year medical students (5-6 per rotation). This campus also supports an established 8-8-8 Internal Medicine Residency Program and a 12-12-12 Family Medicine Residency Program.
Candidates must have an MD/DO degree, board certified/eligible in pulmonary/critical care, proven clinical expertise, strong recommendations, and a love for teaching. The candidate must also qualify for licensure in Alabama, medical staff privileges at Huntsville Hospital, and credentialing with CMS as a physician provider. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience. UAB offers excellent benefits and a sign-on/relocation bonus.
