Work Experience Program Interest Form (WEP)
Per the MOU 20-7, dated June 9, 2020-Classified Employee Reorganization and Work Experience Program Support District Operations Impacted by COVID-19, classified employees are eligible to receive training and cross-training in aspects of district operations that may not be currently within an approved job description. This program is only for internal classified employees. This program is designed to meet critical needs to sustain the operations of the department. Work assigned can be remote or at any District site. It is limited to 960 hours per fiscal year. Employees may be eligible for out of class pay. The employee would receive a certificate for participating in this program and possible interview during recruitment. This program can be manage initiated or employee initiated. Applicants must complete the Work Experience Program Interest Form and upload it with their application.

Some job assignments may require a valid California driver's license and/or possession of a license and/or certificate of completion from an accredited college or agency relative to the assigned area. Continuing education, training or certification may be required.

Conditions of Employment
Classified employees may not exceed 960 hours within a fiscal year (July 1 - June 30) and may only occupy one primary assignment within the District.
*Retired CalPERS Annuitants: may not exceed 960 hours in a fiscal year (July 1 through June 30)*
The hours of work and effective date of employment will be arranged with the supervisor.
