Assistant Professor in Residence, Psychological Sciences, UConn STAMFORD

The Department of Psychological Sciences at the University of Connecticut seeks to fill a full-time faculty position at the Stamford Campus. This position is for a non-tenure track Assistant Professor In-Residence faculty, which may lead to long-term multi-year contracts. The regional campus at Stamford is at the center of a robust business community and energizing city.  The successful candidate will teach seven undergraduate courses per academic year, or the equivalent.  Other potential responsibilities include advising undergraduate majors and outreach activities for the Psychological Sciences Department at the Stamford Campus.  This appointment has an anticipated start date of August 23, 2020.  We encourage minorities, women, and people with disabilities to apply for this position.

Preferred and Required Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Psychology or related field conferred by August 23, 2020, a commitment to excellence in teaching, and experience mentoring undergraduate students.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications include the ability to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the learning experience, background in research methods, teaching expertise that complements that of current faculty, evidence of an interest in continuing previous research activity, and experience and interest in working with diverse communities within an urban campus setting.
