The Department of Psychological Sciences in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Connecticut invites applications for an Associate Professor, tenure track, at the Stamford Campus to begin in the Fall of 2020. The regional campus at Stamford is at the center of a robust business community and energizing city. The successful candidate will show evidence of a robust research program. Candidates with a background in clinical, community, environmental, health, industrial-organizational, or social psychology are especially encouraged to apply. Must have a Ph.D. in Psychology or a closely related field and at least 5 years’ experience in an academic setting. Must demonstrate a vibrant research program. Must have a record of publication and evidence of (or promise of) obtaining external research support. Must have a record of excellent teaching and a commitment to mentoring and advising undergraduate students. Must be able to teach research methods.
Possess the ability to contribute through research, teaching, and/or public engagement to the diversity and excellence of the learning experience. Be able to use the unique resources of the UConn Stamford location to maintain an energetic research program. Have some post-graduate experience. Have past or current external funding.
