Job Description

IT Infrastructure, Systems & Telecommunications Manager:

The Manager, Infrastructure, Systems and Telecommunications is accountable for strategy and management of the enterprise Information Technology Infrastructure through the design and implementation of network, systems and telecommunications technologies to ensure that all systems meet SLAs for availability. The Manager will lead and mentor a team of highly technical professionals in executing the department's plans that align the network, systems & communications architecture with our mission and evolving business needs of the firm. This is a working manager role and this position must be able to manage the highly technical staff (Cisco and Microsoft based) and work directly with the tools should the need arise.

Responsible for accurately gathering, consolidating, analyzing and documenting enterprise Infrastructure requirements.  Responsible for project management leadership across the enterprise for scope, schedule, cost and delivery of various Infrastructural programs/projects.

Preferred and Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Information Systems/Technology, Network Engineering or related field and 10 years of experience or 20 years of related work experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems/Technology, Network Engineering or related field may be substituted in lieu of educational qualifications.
  • Minimum of (5) year's or related work experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • In-depth experience with cloud technologies including Azure, AWS and other emerging cloud technologies
  • Technical skills include in depth and detail experience in Network Design & Engineering, ITIL, ISO Security, Data Center Management practices, DR planning and test executions models, ISP's and outsourced services. Technology environmental performance management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; this position will meet with clients from all functional areas of the college. Excellent analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to listen to clients' needs and requirements and translate those requirements into actionable plans and projects.
  • Ability to manage technical staff. Strong project management experience.
  • Experience managing vendors in both systems implementations and support of ongoing operations Understanding of FERPA and HIPAA-regulated environment is strongly desired.
  • Experience in an institution of Higher Education.
