Teaching of Civil Engineering courses primarily in water resources and general Civil Engineering courses as needed, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Research in the field of Civil Engineering or related field. Advisement of undergraduate and supervision of graduate students. Active and effective participation in curriculum development, assessment and accreditation, and other departmental activities. Participation in professional student organizations.

Preferred and Required Qualifications


Earned Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited institution. Candidates must have completed the Ph.D. degree by date of appointment. Candidates with Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) are desirable. Teaching experience preferred. Industry experience preferred. Applicant must demonstrate:

  • The ability and commitment to teach, mentor, advise and effectively work with a diverse student
  • Dedication and commitment to student success.
  • The ability to develop an effective multi-disciplinary research program in the general area of Civil Engineering.
