Title: COORDINATOR, SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID ADVISOR

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree. Successful results of a criminal background check are required. Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer familiarity with, and understanding of, federal and state financial aid regulations; experience working in a high volume/high traffic customer service office; experience determining eligibility for assistance based on compliance regulations; experience in a document scanning environment; and balancing and accounting experience. Duties: The Coordinator, Scholarships and Financial Aid Advisor position is a 12-month professional/managerial position. The Coordinator, Scholarships and Financial Aid Advisor will assist the Director of Financial Aid in processes used by the College for student financial aid, specifically State of Florida funds including, but not limited to, Bright Future, FSAG, CDDV, and institutional scholarships. Additionally, the Coordinator will supervise assigned career service staff; provide technical assistance in federal, state, and institutional reporting responsibilities; provide compliance and processing training and dissemination of new Financial Aid/Veteran Services/Scholarships policies to impacted areas; conduct counseling prior to a Federal Direct student loan recipient�s cessation of attendance/graduation; review individual files for accuracy and completeness; and award federal, state, and institutional Financial Aid to students. This position reports to the Director of Financial Aid.
Salary: $32,550.00 - $35,000.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable.)
