The Neurology Department of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and UPMC is recruiting a Neuromuscular/EMG specialist.
The main responsibilities are outpatient neuromuscular diseases, EMG, and teaching residents and clinical neurophysiology fellows. There is ample opportunity for clinical research. We have an MDA clinic and MDA-ALS Center, a full array of electrodiagnostic services including autonomic testing as well as neuromuscular ultrasound and neuromuscular pathology.
The department has an extensive referral network and ongoing research programs in ALS, muscular dystrophies, myasthenia gravis, and familial amyloidosis. This position is for an Assistant Professor outside the tenure stream.
Candidates should be certified or eligible for certification for “Added Qualifications in Clinical Neurophysiology” or Neuromuscular Medicine.
