The Department of Agronomy at Iowa State University is pleased to invite applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in forage extension. We are looking for a candidate interested in applying their skills to study the opportunities and challenges of a sustainable and productive forage-livestock system in Iowa. This position is a 12-month appointment and has primary responsibilities in extension (at least 60%), with secondary responsibilities in research and teaching. This position offers significant opportunities for collaboration and the incumbent will be expected to develop strong interdisciplinary research teams with faculty in agronomy, animal science and related departments on the ISU campus, allied research organizations such as USDA-ARS National Laboratory for Agricultural and the Environment, private industry, commodity organizations, and other state and national partners.
