Job Description

The University of Tennessee Department of Theatre seeks a dynamic Voice Specialist for the actor, with expertise in graduate and undergraduate instruction and professional coaching.  This colleague would focus on the fundamentals of vocal production, text, speech and dialect for graduate (MFA) and undergraduate (BA) students; coach voice/text/speech in annual production assignments with the Clarence Brown Theatre (LORT and University productions); and possibly perform or direct.  Other expectations include a continuing record of scholarly research and/or external creative activity and service to the university.

Preferred and Required Qualifications

Terminal degree (MFA or PHD) or professional equivalency required.  Advanced teaching experience in voice at the national or international level desired. Professional activity and promise expected.
