Major/Essential Functions


Department of Pharmacy Practice seeks a full-time, non-tenure track faculty member within the Adult Medicine Division.  Teaching responsibilities will include:
* Didactic, laboratory, case/simulation-based, and experiential teaching within the School of Pharmacy curriculum.
* Provide adult acute care services at Hendrick Medical Center up to 50% time, providing patient care and experiential teaching.
* Develop a practice site in the adult acute care setting at Hendrick Medical Center.
* Engage in scholarship and service.


Required Qualifications

Must have Doctor of Pharmacy degree.  Licensure of eligibility to be licensed in the state of Texas is required.  Demonstrated record of effectiveness as a teacher, a record of peer reviewed publication and/or peer-reviewed creative activity which has contributed to the discipline or field of study, to the candidate's intellectual and artistic development, and to the quality of the academic enterprise; a record of professional service appropriate to the discipline; promise of growth in teaching and research or artistic and creative activity.  


Preferred Qualifications


Ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree with a PGY1 residency in Pharmacy Practice.  Teaching experience, advanced training, Board of Certification, and teaching experience are strongly preferred.  The professorial level will be determined based on experience and qualifications.


Pay Statement
