Coordinator - ScD/RS program


Position Description

Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions

*Answer phone, direct calls, answer questions and take messages.
*Maintain student information and facilitate student registration.
*Coordinate and maintain program calendar.
*Prepare purchase orders, travel applications, travel vouchers, purchases course materials and maintain inventory.
*Prepare ScD course offerings and all information needed for upcoming semester to be placed in Banner.
*Maintain P-Card records and submit reports to TTUHSC Purchasing department as required.
*Coordinate all logistical and administrative operations associated with academic ScD contact sessions. 
*Coordinate tracking and finalization of student enrollment and tuition payments each semester.
*Additional duties as directed from the ScD program director.

Required Qualifications

High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for required experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in a related field plus one (1) year related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five (5) years.

Position Specific Qualifications:  The following are required for success in this position: (1) Computer use knowledge, skills, and expertise (MS office use; Data Base management; web-based communication, such as email, skype, webEx); (2) Precise organizational and data management skills; (3) methodical budget management skills; and (4) effective communications skills.

Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:  The following are important for success in this position: (1) Organizational creativitiy; (2) Persistence for achieving goals; (3) Flexibility in planning and execution of specific tasks; and (4) Skills in navigating others in reaching goals.
