Monday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
Tuesday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
Wednesday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
Thursday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Saturday: 8:30am - 12:30pm
Work Week 0-20 Hours
Work Week-Other Information 10-20 hours/week, days and hours vary depending on the student's availability

· Must be currently enrolled in at least 3 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester
· Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above (if first semester student, GPA requirement is waived)
· If student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.

Position Introduction
As a student assistant for the MCC Advising Center, you will staff our reception desk, placing a high priority on making a positive first impression for our guests, quickly building rapport with them, and creating a safe and welcoming space.
Position Summary
 A student assistant will be a part of a dynamic advising and orientation team dedicated to encouraging, guiding, and supporting all students in their journey at MCC. Student assistants will be responsible for providing administrative and receptionist support to our office, providing outstanding customer service to our guests while effectively and efficiently handling a variety of administrative support tasks. An ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills both in-person and on the phone, has general computer knowledge, is reliable and punctual, has the ability to maintain confidentiality, and works well with others in a fast-paced environment. 
Reports to Director of Student Success
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Staff the Advising Center front desk
- Greet students, parents, and community members
- Schedule advising appointments
- Answer phones and check voicemails
- Assist with basic office tasks such as photocopying, filing, and mailings
- Handle confidential materials
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Education High School graduate or equivalent

- Excellent English communication skills
- Ability to sit, walk, and stand up to 4 hours
- Ability to use Microsoft Office products
- Ability to use office equipment (fax, copier, etc)
-Excellent customer service skills
