Job Location: Midway University - Midway, KY

Midway University invites applications for the position of University Registrar who provides leadership to plan, organize and manage the activities related to the Registrar's Office, including serving as the official authorized keeper of the University's student records. The Registrar reports to the Vice President of Academic Affairs and serves on the Academic Leadership Council.

The successful candidate will:

• Oversee the maintenance and integrity of all student academic records in accordance with University policies as well as federal, state, and accreditation regulations, including FERPA.
• Provide student services relating to the recording of grades and other academic items, such as permissions, waivers, change of major, etc.
• Verify requirements for graduation, and eligibility for academic honors.
• Provide official transcripts as requested and warranted.
• Verify enrollment for Veteran students or students qualifying for Veterans' benefits
• Verify NAIA Athletic Eligibility.
• Oversee the university census verification process.
• Certification of attendance, level, grades, and/or degree dates of students as required for loans, benefits, scholarships, insurance, or various programs through the National Student Clearinghouse.
• Respond to faculty, deans, etc. seeking advice on academic matters.
• Receive and record transcripts received from other academic institutions.
• Receive and record student grades received from faculty.
• Serve as ex officio on the University Curriculum and Policy committee and record and implement changes in curriculum as these are made by the Faculty Governance and University Administration.
• Serve as Chair of the University's Academic review committee.
• Manage Registrar's Office budgets.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  
  

Required:

• Masters degree required in Education Administration, Student Services related area, or Academic Discipline,
• Minimum five years of higher education experience with increasing responsibility.
• Competency working in Ellucian Colleague ERP

Preferred:

• Supervisory and training experience;
• Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and ability to multitask when conducting assigned functions;
• Ability to maintain a high level of discretion;
• A student-centered philosophy of providing academic services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including experience communicating with people from a variety of backgroundsincluding students, faculty, staff, administration, parents, and alumni.
• Ability to think strategically, work cooperatively as part of a team, and find creative solutions to problems.
