Job Description

Full-Time Faculty with a Sustainability focus within either the Liberal Arts and Sciences or Interdisciplinary Studies Department with the opportunity to teach in both departments.  This is a renewable non-tenure track, full-time, and benefits-eligible position.  The successful candidate will have a commitment to teaching a broad range of courses offered within our curriculum. The Full-Time Faculty of Sustainability is responsible for and contributes to teaching and curriculum development of undergraduate courses, student advising, departmental and college service and committee involvement, and creative/professional practice.  This position will serve as a faculty leader in advancing sustainability, environmental studies, and eco-art/design at Otis College of Art and Design. This will include leading efforts to expand the College’s related curriculum, recruit appropriate faculty, lead shared governance bodies that focus on this topic – at present this is the Environmental Steering Committee, and represent sustainability on shared governance and other bodies where such representation is essential. This position reports to either the Chair of Liberal Arts and Sciences or the Chair of Interdisciplinary Studies, as determined upon hire.
