Job Summary
Support website optimization efforts of Georgia Southern University. Update and maintain content and functionality of University Advancement websites and scheduling of alumni/donor emails.

This is a fully remote position. The incumbent must reside and work in the State of Georgia.


  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Evaluate and optimize University Advancement website content and user experience to improve functionality and marketing effectiveness
  • Develop relationships and liaise with University communities that utilize our Alumni email system/database to support an guide email efforts
  • Provide training and support for the alumni email system
  • Develop, adjust, and evaluate content for University Advancement sites
  • Be a proactive steward of University branding across the University Advancement websites
  • Monitor content of University Advancement sites to ensure information is accurate and current
  • Maintain visual image consistency for the University Advancement websites
  • Manage University Advancement site metrics reporting
  • Check pages for quality and address accessibility issues
  • Support production of alumni email communications
  • Responsible for coordinating content and design for University Advancement communications
  • Maintains active social media communications for Office of Alumni Relations

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

Required Experience

  • Three (3) or more years of related work experience

Other Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS, as well as current web development standards
  • Knowledge of website accessibility standards
  • Basic proficiency in design programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Information Technology, or related fields

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in Communications and/or Web Design fields
