Position Title: Systems Administrator


Job Description:

The Systems Administrator manages and maintains all servers and server-based applications, providing a secure and productive experience for all users of those systems. 

  • Responsible for configuration, maintenance, and operation of server cloud infrastructure, including storage and hosts.  Maintenance and operation includes planning and implementation of data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
  • Responsible for configuration, maintenance, and operation of physical and virtual servers, and server operating systems. 
  • Installs, maintains, and supports server-based applications, including maintenance and support of client components if required.
  • Implements and maintains security standards and policies in server infrastructure, servers, and server-managed clients.
  • Coordinates and implements server and system security in collaboration with Information Security Officer.
  • Assists technology support staff when necessary in both workload and elevated support.
  • Cross-trains other infrastructure and technology support staff as necessary to provide systems support redundancy.
  • Develops documentation of systems, procedures, and policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • In-depth knowledge of computer and network systems.
  • Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and a professional demeanor.
  • Organized thinker with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.

Required Qualifications

  • This position requires the completion of some college coursework in Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Must have one to three years of experience of providing systems support.
  • A valid driver's license is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Technology, Computer Science or a related field.


Physical Demands

  • Generally Sedentary Work
  • Position requires the ability to exert up to 75 pounds of force on rare occasions. 
  • Requires the ability to climb, balance, kneel, stoop, and reach. 
  • Required to use close vision and be able to focus.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear; frequently required to sit, stand, and bend at the knee and waist, and walk.
  • Must be able to have repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement to type and work on computer.
  • Must have finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination to work on computer, telephone, and related office equipment.
  • Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
  • May be exposed to the intense noise of equipment, machinery, pumps, and fans.  
  • May occasionally be subjected to electrical currents, moving mechanical parts, fumes, odors, dust, chemicals, poor ventilation, inadequate lighting, inclement weather, extreme temperatures, workspace restrictions, and working at height.

Valid Drivers License
After hours or weekend work may be required occasionally.


Hours of Work

M-F 8-4:30pm
