This is a faculty position with teaching, scholarship activities, advisement, and service responsibilities. The position requires significant contact with students, outside constituents, professional consortium, and faculty. Residence in Waco is not a requirement, but travel is an expectation and requirement of this position including teaching responsibilities during on-site lab immersions.
Salary and Review Date: Salary is commensurate with professional experience and qualifications. Qualifications: Occupational therapy license or eligible for licensure in Texas and current NBCOT Certification. Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree (OTD) awarded by an accredited USDE-recognized regional accrediting body. Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Occupational Therapy practitioner and 1-year experience in a full-time academic appointment. Commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship.
Preferred Qualifications: All the above plus terminal academic doctorate (PhD, EdD, ScD, Post-professional OTD); 3 years of experience in a full-time academic appointment with teaching responsibilities at the post-secondary level; evidence of expertise in teaching assignments including scholarship; 2 years documented teaching in online and hybrid education environments; documented record of scholarly activity.
