Job Description


Veterinarian with advanced training in small animal sports medicine and rehabilitation. Board certification in the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (ACVSMR) or European College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (ECVSMR), or completion of an approved residency of the ACVSMR or ECVSMR by August 1, 2022 is required.

Preferred and Required Qualifications

Preference will be given to those candidates board-certified by ACVSMR. Documented clinical experience and competence in small animal sports medicine and rehabilitation is required. Demonstrated aptitude and experience in teaching, particularly clinical instruction, is required. Documented record of creative scholarship or potential to develop a clinical research program in small animal sports medicine and/or rehabilitation is required. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with others in a collegial team atmosphere. A valid license to practice veterinary medicine in California or a University license will be required before employment (California Business and Professions Code Section 4846-4857; California Business and Professions Code Section 4848.1).
