The Archives and Information Studies Programs in the College of Information and Mathematical Sciences at Clayton State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track graduate faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
The individual will teach Archival Studies in both synchronous and asynchronous online environments, with the possibility of summer courses. Course topics will include archives, records management, and archival technology. Because the program emphasizes digital archives, applicants must have a strong background in working with electronic records. Strengths in some or all of the following areas are desirable records management; reference, access, and outreach, and in digital preservation and curation are desirable.
In addition, the individual will be expected to be active in research and scholarly activity as appropriate for the discipline, and to engage in service to the university. The position is based in Morrow, Georgia, fifteen miles southeast of Atlanta.
