Successful candidates will be part of a growing Faculty grouping in Frisco that is dedicated to delivering high quality education in the fields of Information Technology and Computer Science. The major programs run are a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.A. Information Technology. Further information on the Center and the programs it offers is available from: CHEC Location | UNT at FriscoUNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba.
Position Summary
The University of North Texas (UNT), a Tier 1 Research Institution (Carnegie Classification as a Doctoral University: Highest Research Activity), invites applications for the following non-tenure track faculty positions that will teach primarily at one of the three UNT Frisco locations (the Collin Higher Education Center, the Hall Park Facility, or the new Frisco Landing Campus) while maintaining offices at UNT Discovery Park in Denton.Clinical Assistant/Associate Professors for Frisco will teach undergraduate Computer Science Information Technology courses ranging from introductory and foundational level to more advanced and specialized topics. Additional expectations include curriculum development, participating in departmental activities, and providing career guidance to undergraduate students.
We anticipate several Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor openings in the Fall of 2022. As openings arise, we will actively source candidates from this applicant pool.
An offer of employment for this position will be made dependent upon available funding.
Minimum Qualifications
The search committee strongly encourages applications and nominations from all qualified individuals, including persons with an M.S. in Computer science and relevant Industry experience.Preferred Qualifications
Applicants with a PhD degree in Computer Science or a closely related field are sought.As the position is teaching focused, successful applicants should also provide evidence of teaching experience.
