full-time, tenure track position in the Department of Social Work and Counseling at the Lock Haven University main campus beginning Fall
2022.
- The position will require provision of both in-person and telehealth services, and may require site visits to other campuses.
- The position will require attendance at weekly clinical staffing meetings as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- The
position will include conducting intake, triage, and crisis appointments; completing diagnoses, treatment plans, and other documentation;
and conducting individual psychotherapy, outreach, and consultation.
- Additional duties will include providing daytime
crisis/emergency services as needed; consultation with the Director of Counseling Services and participation in clinical supervision as
needed; service on Department and University committees as appropriate.
Essential Duties- Providing
counseling services to students enrolled at Lock Haven University: conducting intake, triage, and crisis appointments; completing
diagnoses, treatment plans, progress notes, and other documentation; conducting individual psychotherapy, outreach, and consultation; and
maintaining appropriate counseling caseload.
- Providing daytime crisis services as needed.
- Consulting with the
Director of Counseling Services, Counseling Services team, and other university staff, faculty, and administration as needed, as well as
attending weekly clinical staffing.
- Occasional evening hours may be required.

Minimum Qualifications (Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)- The
successful candidate will have a minimum of a Master's Degree in Counseling or a related field and license eligibility as a counselor or
related field. Terminal degree is required for appointment as Assistant Professor, without the terminal degree candidate will be appointed
as Instructor.
- The successful candidate will also have a minimum of three years experience working in a counseling capacity.
- Experience working in a counseling capacity with trauma, sexual assault/domestic violence, eating disorders is essential.
- Experience with BIPOC or LGBTQ population is essential.
- The successful candidate must possess excellent oral and written
communication skills and /or perform effectively in an interview or clinical case presentation.
Preferred
Qualifications- Direct experience working in a University Counseling Service or Center is preferred.
