The USF Health Taneja College of Pharmacy is managed by the Dean and an actively engaged administrative leadership team. The mission of the college is to Transform Health through educating students to be outstanding and successful practitioners and leaders in the profession; through leading in the discovery and innovation of education and practice in pharmacy; and through delivering the highest quality care in diverse, interprofessional clinical and community settings.


The College of Pharmacy is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor for the PCR Department, with specialized skills in Pharmacogenomics. The candidate will be joining a department with existing clinical and research collaborations among faculty within USF Health, VA Hospital, Tampa General Hospital, Moffitt Cancer Research Center, and other healthcare institutions in the Tampa Bay area. The department has a strategic plan to start post-doctoral training programs and practice initiatives for pharmacy students and practitioners.

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.

The desired credentials of applicants include a doctoral degree in pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Ph.D. with post-doctoral residency or fellowship training with specialization in Pharmacogenomics. Preference will be given to applicants with exceptionally strong empirical skills, a record of peer-reviewed publications, and a history of external funding, commensurate with position rank.


Prior teaching experience in a Doctor of Pharmacy program and BPS Board Certification are encouraged to apply; Clinical faculty that possess joint degrees (PhD, MPH, MHA, JD, Etc) are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates with post-graduate training and research interest and skills in Pharmacogenomics are encouraged to apply.
