Position description
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery within the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego (
http://ortho.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the
faculty, staff, and student body and is recruiting for an Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Physician.
Responsibilities will include
patient care, teaching, research at UC San Diego Health and team physician duties for local and university sports teams.
The
appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's qualifications and
experience.

Candidates must meet the
following criteria:
* MD, DO or equivalent
* Completed a U.S. accredited residency training program in Orthopaedic Surgery at
the time of application
* Have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by
the Medical Board of California.
* American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery certified or eligible
Additional
qualifications (required at time of start)
Candidates must have completed
fellowship training in Sports Medicine at the time of hire.
