Pediatric Luminal Gastroenterologist Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate or Clinical Professor

The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Stanford University seeks applications for a Pediatric Gastroenterologist at the Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate, or Full Professor rank in the Clinician Educator line.
The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.
Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
Your responsibilities and requirements for success in this position:
A successful candidate must be able to thrive as a member of a team of physician specialists and advanced practice providers with diverse areas of expertise. The successful applicant should be comfortable with and/or open to inpatient, outpatient and GI procedures and interventions. A dedicated candidate will be working among one of the leading gastroenterology programs in the country, with unique research and innovation opportunities afforded by the world-renowned Stanford Medicine campus.
The successful candidate will participate in the care and management of children with a broad range of gastrointestinal disorders but will be expected to have focused efforts on caring for children with pancreatic disorders (including post-TPIAT management) and children with cystic fibrosis-associated gastrointestinal and hepatologic complications. The successful candidate will be involved in formal and informal teaching of pediatric residents, pediatric gastroenterology fellows, residents and fellows in other specialties, medical students, and other graduate students. The successful applicant should have an M.D., D.O. (or MD/DO/Ph.D or equivalent), and board certification (or eligible) in Pediatrics with subspecialty training in Gastroenterology. The selected candidate will join twenty-two faculty members and should hold a medical degree and valid license, certification or eligibility in American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatric Gastroenterology subspecialty.

About the Pediatric Gastroenterology Program at Stanford:
The Pediatric Gastroenterology Program at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital has grown dramatically over the past five years and is currently ranked in the top 15 programs nationally by U.S. News and World Report. Lucile Packard Children's Hospital has one of the nation's largest pediatric solid organ transplant programs and is home to a robust ACGME accredited fellowship program in pediatric gastroenterology, with three fellows per year and an additional hepatology transplant fellowship. Internationally recognized for its expertise in gastroenterology and nutrition, the Division's clinical program cares for more than 10,000 patients each year. It has had a 75% growth in faculty over the last 3 years, a generous donor gift for IBD and Celiac programs which benefits the entire operations, several newer programs launched, and an incredible culture of mutual respect.
About the Stanford CF Center:
The Stanford Cystic Fibrosis Center cares for >450 patients and is currently the largest CF Center on the West Coast with affiliated programs in San Francisco, Madera, and Reno.
