Position Summary

The Department of History at Villanova University invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of assistant professor in twentieth-century and contemporary Art History.

We seek an innovative scholar-teacher committed to undergraduate teaching. We welcome scholars of any geographical specialization since 1900. The successful candidate will teach broadly, with versatility, and their teaching should engage underrepresented modernisms and provide global perspectives. We especially seek candidates whose teaching embodies an understanding that contemporary art is a global phenomenon.
