Job Description
The Director of Advising/Student Success Center, will oversee the operations of a comprehensive Center that provides direct service to students. The incumbent will be responsible for the leadership and management of the services provided to students, faculty, staff, and constituents in a high traffic student advising and academic support and information/referral center. The Director will provide supervision and integration of student academic support programs; incoming student career assessment, advising, and assistance for students placed on academic warning, probation or suspension. This position reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs to ensure that the institutional strategy for advising services aligns with the mission, vision, values, and strategic direction of the College.

Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in education, counseling, or closely related field.
- Seven (7) years of progressive experience of higher education administration/management in academic advising, retention, or coaching.
- Demonstrated experience leading student persistence and retention initiatives.
- Experience designing and implementing an effective student advising/success model.
- Keen analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with faculty, staff, students, and external organizations.
- Ability to work independently, balance multiple tasks, work to meet deadlines, and prioritize a complex workload.
- Budget management experience.
- Experience utilizing a student information system (Banner, Colleague, PeopleSoft, or similar).
- Strong technical skills (Microsoft Office 365 Suite).
