Job Description
The School of Nursing invites applications for Tenure Track/Tenured faculty.
The applicant is expected to establish and maintain an independent, externally-funded research program and to participate in teaching activities in the School of Nursing.
All faculty participate in scholarship (Discovery, Application, Integration, Teaching) and Citizenship.
Tenure track appointments are full-time with an initial probationary period of seven years. Criteria for promotion includes significant achievements in teaching, research/scholarship, and service. The award of tenure is based on potential for sustained contributions, performing beyond expected duties, and demonstrating leadership and innovation in activities that enhance the reputation of the University.
Applicants with a developed a program of research with a focus on population/public health are encouraged to apply.
Preferred and Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications : Doctorate in Nursing or related field
Demonstrated ability to disseminate inquiry findings through oral and written presentations. Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey enthusiasm for a nursing career, specializing in research Strong organizational, management, and leadership skills Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, as well as with individuals at various organizational and educational levels. Experience in teaching and leading in an academic program Established and funded research from intramural and/or extra-mural sources
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in leading curriculum development/revisions or research efforts in an academic program
Previous experience in working on intra- and inter-professional research teams; familiarity with team-based approaches in research
